With the increasing trend towards deepwater exploration around the world, the physical connection between the seabed to subsurface operations (typically the umbilical link) is being pushed to the limits. As operating depths increase and umbilicals become correspondingly longer, the shear length and mass of the umbilical becomes so great that it can become unsustainable, i.e. it literally pulls itself apart.

Nautronix offer a solution to this issue, by cutting the need for the umbilical and utilising subsea acoustic technology we have developed a variety of acoustic communication and monitoring products that provide highly reliable and effective alternative methods to perform this task.
