NASNet® incorporates ADS² technology and permits an unlimited number of users both above and below the surface. This assists us in obtaining precise navigational data utilising a subsea acoustic transmission grid. Unlike current acoustic navigational systems, complete field coverage can be achieved, using a low number of underwater beacons or 'Stations'. These advances make it feasible and cost effective to deploy the NASNet® system throughout the life of the field, although there are also technical and financial benefits to be gained even on shorter-term deployments. As an integral element of the NASNet® family of products, Nautronix has designed MS(Mini Station) for use during ongoing field activities or as an intermediate solution ahead of the customer committing to standard NASNet® Stations. MS can be considered as an option for short term projects. MS can undertake any work that might previously have required traditional long baseline (LBL) equipment to achieve the necessary coverage and still maintain a high positioning tolerance, whilst adding the additional benefits of the NASNet® technology NASNet® explained Frequently Asked Q & A's Literature on NASNet®:
